Statement of Faith
First off...My ministry is not associated with any specific denomination. I have participated in events hosted by lots of denominations (as well as non-denominational churches, schools, and ministries). My passion is seeing people come to know God in a deeper, more life-giving way. Specifically, my books, speaking, videos, and courses focus on how to read, study, remember, and enjoy God's Word.Â
That said, I know that when considering a speaker for your event, knowing what I believe is important. To that end, what you read below should give you a pretty good idea of where I stand and what I believe.Â

About God
I believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, sovereign, and unchanging in holiness, justice, wisdom, and love. He sustains all creation, invites relationship with humanity, and works redemptively to restore what sin has broken.
About People
I believe every person is created in the image of God, endowed with inherent dignity and worth. Though humanity was designed for intimate fellowship with God, we are all born into sin—a condition of rebellion and separation from God. Yet God’s love for people remains unwavering, and His desire is to redeem and restore us.
About Jesus
I believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, the eternal Son of the Father. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross to atone for our sins. He rose bodily from the grave, ascended to heaven, and will return visibly to judge the living and the dead and establish His eternal kingdom. Salvation is found in Christ alone, through faith in His finished work.
About the Holy Spirit
I believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers believers, indwelling all who trust in Christ. The Spirit distributes spiritual gifts for the common good and produces Christlike character in us. He guides, comforts, and reveals truth as we submit to His leading.
About the Bible
I believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God, without error in its original manuscripts. Scripture is is the only trustworthy guide for knowing God’s character, His plan of salvation, and His will for our lives.
About Sin
I believe sin is any thought, action, or attitude that opposes God’s holiness. It entered the world through Adam, corrupting every person and fracturing our relationship with God, others, and creation. Sin’s consequence is death, but God’s grace offers forgiveness and redemption through Jesus Christ.
About Salvation
I believe that salvation is a free gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. It is not earned by good works but is offered to all who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Salvation includes forgiveness of sins, regeneration by the Holy Spirit, and the promise of eternal life with God.
